She will also fill you in on the Australian fiber art scene and the textiles world down-under.

Workshop: ON THE SURFACE: COLOR IT...
This workshop will indroduce you to a variety of techniques which can be utilized on fabric or knits. Students will learn how to work with stenciling, stamping, and simple printing techniques, exploring an assortment of pigments and dyes. Transfer techniques will also be demonstrated allowing students to learn how to use a variety of imagery and trasfer it to fabric.

Jenny will introduce you to a variety of techniques she uses to create surface interest on clothing. These include beading (freeform and within a shape), Fabric Collage using fabric, wrapping, beads, wool tops (roving), and fancy yarns, Needle-felting, and Freehand stitching - including raised satin stitch, layered cross stitch, couching, chain stitch and others. Learn the basic techniques and how to apply them to wearable garments.
