Inspirations DVD: Europe Fall/Winter Windows 2008/2009

A collection of over 300 images of fashion windows from Verona and Venice Italy, and The Swarovski Museum in Austria. Released 12/9/09


Europe Fall/Winter Windows 2008/2009:

  • The images in this collection features features Fall/Winter 08/09 Fashions in Austria, Verona and Venice. Most of the images are shot of store windows, but there are a few street shots, and also images from the Swarovski Museum in Wattens, Austria.
  • This DVD contains two folders, one with graphic JPG images (large and small versions of the files) and one with slideshows. To view the slideshows you will need Quicktime 7 - which can be downloaded for free at Apple's website.
  • The images and slideshows are divided into three main areas:
  • VERONA: which includes images broken down into three categories; knit & crochet, sewn, and mixed media.
  • VENICE: which includes images together of garments, both sewn, knit and crochet.
  • SWAROVSKI: which features garments and related shot at the Swarovski Museum in Wattens, Triol, Austria.

Couture Totes


Cool Totes and Bags is a series of collections of tote bags and related items, based on themes. Couture Totes released in Feb. 2003) features a collection of 12 totes/bags based on clothing styles. Other collections are in development.

You can purchase Cool Totes in one of two ways:
1. As a stand-alone program, which means you don't need Garment Designer to run the software.
2. As a plug-in to Garment Designer, which means you can edit the tote styles, save files, etc.

Using the Stand-alone is simple. Choose a Tote style, choose a size (small, medium or large), add seam allowances, scale to actual size and print.

Using the Plug-in is essentially the same as using a Style Set. Once installed, you will see a new Category (Totes), and you will then see the appropriate style and size menus for totes.

A PDF manual is included with each collection. This contains the 'how-to's on using the program, and sewing instructions plus knitting and crochet how-to's.

Details of Fashion


The Details of Fashion is a software program that contains a database of over 250 fashion terms. Each term is defined and illustrated, plus there are historical tidbits and additional remarks. In some cases pronunciation is provided. You can test your knowledge by planing the games and quizzes provided on the CD. There are word scrambles, cross-word puzzles, quizzes and more.

The program runs in 'kiosk' mode. Simply click on the buttons to move to the various views. You can use database tools to search, sort and locate the term of your choice. Print reports of the styles you are interested in.

Computer Requirements:

  • Windows users must be Windows 95 or greater.
  • Mac users should be System 8.6 or greater.
  • Ram: Most new computers will have ample RAM to run the program. We suggest a minimum of 32 megs.

A CD ROM is required as the program will be shipped in this version.
