Edit... (Sloper Menu)
The Edit command allows you to edit the measurements of whichever sloper is the current sloper (Simple-Fit vs. Refined-Fit). This is determined by which version was last displayed when you closed the Sloper dialog. Choose the Sloper size you want to edit, using the pop-up size menus in the yellow Size Bar. Then select the Edit command to display the various body measurements of this size. You may switch to Simple or Refined-fit modes by clicking on the button in the lower right side of the window. Now you may edit the appropriate measurements. These edits may be temporary (for the current file only), or you may choose to save them.
If you want to save this new Sloper file, you must enter a new unique Sloper Name, and then you can choose the Sloper/Save menu. Once you have completed the edits to an existing sloper file and closed the dialog, you will see that Designer refers to your Sloper now as an 'edited' sloper and you lose access to the size menus. You have three choices at this point; work with the file as is, save the edited sloper or discard it. It is not mandatory to save an edited sloper file. You can customize a sloper for the current file only, in which case, you will see the word: Using Edited Sloper in the yellow bar. You will not be able to access the pop-up Size Group and Size menus until you either save or discard this edited sloper file.
It is helpful to remember the following:
- An edited Sloper will not become part of the Custom Sloper library until it is saved.
- When you work with an edited sloper, you cannot choose to return to the Standard or Custom Sloper libraries until you have either Saved the edited sloper, or Discarded the Edited Sloper.
Designer will prompt you for a decision when you close the file.
Tip:
Many people like to start with a Standard size close to their body size, and edit is slightly to adjust to their shape. This is a good approach to building a sloper if you do not want to take all your body measure
