The Copy command allows you to take text, numbers or graphics, and send a copy of it to the clipboard. Only one item may be on the clipboard at any given time, and once you copy something there, the previous information that was on the clipboard is lost.

In Garment Designer, Copy is used to:

  • Copy the schematic or graphic image of your garment to the clipboard to take into other programs.
  • Copy numbers/measurements in the dialog boxes to paste from one field to another.
  • Copy text names in the dialog boxes from one Sloper to another.
     


Tip:
If you want to take your schematic to a Word Processor, simply choose the Edit/Copy menu in Garment Designer, and then move to the Word Processor and choose Edit/Paste to paste the image where your cursor is placed. Remember, you will probably need to change to Courier font to allow the text columns to align properly.
