Garment Designer to Stitch Painter

If you want to take your pixel-per-stitch graphic into another program to design imagery upon it, you will need to learn how to use the clipboard to transfer the graphic to either a paint program or Stitch Painter (by Cochenille). Knitters, Stitchers and Sewers may choose to take the images into Stitch Painter so that they may design or space plan their 'fabric'.

There are three ways to export the pixel-per-stitch graphic image from Garment Designer and import it into Stitch Painter so that you may have a gridded stitched image. Garment Designer allows you to move all graphic images at once (as opposed to Garment Styler, which only allowed one piece to be transferred at a time). However, if you choose to copy and paste one piece at a time, you have that option. Simply click on one piece only in the Garment or Band Pixel Per Stitch Graphics windows. The explanations follow on the next two pages.

Note: You may need to upgrade your version of Stitch Painter in order to view a proper graphic file. If you see strange zig -zag lines on the garment, you need to update. Contact techsupport@cochenille.com or info@cochenille.com for assistance.
