Point Selection Quick Chart

Select 1 point Click on chosen point.
Select multiple points Drag + select to surround chosen points, or shift + click on chosen points.
Select all points Drag + select, and surround the garment piece.
Deselect a Point Click on a different point, or click away from the piece.
Deselect a Point from a Group Shift + click on points you no longer want as part of the group of selected points.
Select a Single Segment Click on the segment.
Select Multiple Segments Drag + select to surround the chosen segments.
Select all Segments Drag + select to surround the garment piece.
Deselect a Segment Click on a different segment or click away from the piece.
Deselect a Segment from a Group Shift + click on highlighted segments you no longer want as part of the group of selected segments.


 
Note
Although drag + select and shift + click + select both result in selecting multiple segments/points, Garment Designer responds differently to these actions when Symmetry is on. If you use drag + select with Symmetry on, you can actually cancel out a selected point. Dragging over the initial point selects the point and its corresponding point. Continuing the dragging process over the corresponding point cancels out the selection as the point is essentially selected a second time.
 
Note
If you use the Override to Symmetry function on a pattern piece where only the left or right piece is displayed, the change will occur only on that piece. Later, if you request to view the other side of the pattern, the changes you made will not be reflected. Garment Designer is simply doing what you are asking,
