User Header Fields (Options Menu)
 
This command will allow you to record and save additional information with your project. This will appear on your pattern (if sewing) and on the Shaping Instruction reports (if knitting). When you choose this command, a dialog box opens. You may input a label (or title) and further information in the Text field.

Some suggestions of what to place in Header fields are as follows:
• Project  
• Client
• Date

If you click on the check box to the left of the Label text box, the information will display and/or print in several places:

  1. The Project Summary report, accessed through the Generate menu. Print this to glue onto the back of a manila envelope. Mount the Schematic of your project on the front, and place the pattern pieces inside.
  2. The ‘header’ of the Text Shaping Instructions (for knitters, etc.)
  3. On your paper pattern.


It is possible to store and save information that will not print on your pattern or shaping instructions. Simply do not select the check box to the left of each line.
If you choose, you may view this information by choosing the Project Summary command from the Generate menu. You may print the window that appears. All information prints from this window, regardless of whether it is checked. The checked items dictate what information transfers to the ‘Shaping Instructions’ window used by knitters, weavers, etc., and to the printed paper pattern.
